Happy Parenting --- How Does Coaching Empower Contemporary Parents?

(Cantonese Session)

Workshop Objective
1. To demonstrate how coaching works on parenting.
2. To share the contradiction between traditional parenting pattern with parenting coaching.

Miss Lee Wai Lan (Coach Lee)

Coach Lee is the first Chinese parent coach in Hong Kong. She has more than 25 years’ experience in parenting and developing young people. She formed her training and coaching company in 2007. She also teaches part –time program in HKUSPACE since 2010. She is very passionate about supporting parents for easy & happy parenting and raising emotional intelligent kids by changing their mindset and teaching their coaching skills. With her enthusiastic, authentic and insightful style of coaching, Coach Lee has received much favorable feedback from clients for her unique ability in diagnosing participants’ issues and empowering them to confront that with new perspectives. 

Coach Lee is currently Director of the Body- Mind –Soul Platform and the Director of Thanksgiving Movement. She was the past president of the Hong Kong International Coaching Community (HKICC) from 2013 to 2015. She also led social work practicum in various universities from 2006 to 2011 and trained over 50 social workers.

Selina Wong is Vice President for coach development of HKICC. She is a solid, experienced HR professional with renowned MNCs in diverse industries. With a passion for supporting people to transform from good to great, she moved on to her coaching career and achieved her certified Meta Coach accreditation and certified Trainer from the International Society of Neuro Semantics. She facilitates various types of transformational coaching for senior executives and management teams about leadership transition, career development and personal development.



Coaching is a new technology applied in parenting. It focuses on removing parents’ psychological barriers in raising their kids and let them have clarity of mind to perform their roles. The learning of coaching mindset and skills can enhance parents’ deeper understanding of their kids and inspire their kids to have critical and independent thinking, enhance their confidence and accountability for their action via coaching conversation. Coach Lee will share her observation of the behavior of Monster parents and some amazing stories of parents’ transformation.
