📢 Message from the Board
Happy New Year and welcome to 2026.
As the world continues to recalibrate, we are navigating new challenges, uncertainties, and decisions that test our resolve and our commitment to what truly matters. One of the most important lessons 2025 taught me is this: I am not alone—and neither are we.
We will find our tribe, our kindred spirits. And together, we will not only walk the path, but also pave our own yellow brick road toward where we are meant to be, doing what we are meant to do. That journey begins with knowing who we are and what we stand for. While that may be a lifelong exploration, it starts simply—with learning by doing.
Our word for this year is CREATE.
Since embracing our mission to spread a coaching mindset across the wider ecosystem, HKICC has launched several meaningful initiatives. Our Education Special Interest Group, led by Rainbow, has brought coaching skills into secondary schools through workshops and pro-/low-bono coaching programmes for teachers, administrators, and parents. To strengthen engagement and communication with our members, we have also refreshed our newsletter with new content and design under Venus’ leadership.
To deepen our capacity as coaches and support personal transformation, we successfully ran the Coaching Beyond GROW series organised by Henry. And continuing our tradition of bringing the Hong Kong coaching community together, we once again co-organised the annual year-end Coaches Gathering—made possible by the dedication of many members of our leadership team, especially Rainbow.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue this momentum. In February, we continue with the new event series we started in November last year, Heart to Heart in the Coaching Ecosystem, led by one of our newest leadership team members, Vanessa. In March, we will gather again for our Spring Drink, where we will share more about our new For the Love of Coaching initiatives. And in January, our new Coaching Book Club will begin, with me facilitating the first discussion on a book focused on building a better coaching business.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have participated in and contributed to our many learning and growth-focused activities. My sincere thanks also go to our leadership team for their commitment and generosity in turning ideas into reality—especially Yvonne, Michael, and Venus, who had stepped down from the leadership team last year.
To support our expanding initiatives, we are delighted to welcome three new leadership team members—Vanessa, Paul, and Kainny—who will be supporting the Leader as Coach SIG, Coaching in Professional Industries, and Coaching Research, alongside our existing team of Vipul, Leona, Rainbow, Henry, and myself.
It is truly exciting to imagine what this year may bring. I look forward to reconnecting with you at one of our many events very soon.
Warmly,
On behalf of the Board
