The quality of coaches’ presence and awareness is key to the quality and success of coaching relationships and interventions. In this powerful four-session programme, we practise mindful dialogue to develop relational mindfulness, thereby building our capacity for present-moment, non-judgemental awareness in relationship. As coaches, this helps us co-create compassionate, psychologically safe yet courageous coaching spaces, which can generate profound insight, wisdom and understanding for our clients. The programme will build on the facilitators’ recently published book, Relational Mindfulness for Coaches.

Relational mindfulness (RM) expands mindful presence from the individual to the relational, bringing present-moment, non-judgemental awareness to self, others and the relationship, whilst speaking and listening. This programme will build understanding of RM’s foundations in mindfulness, compassion and Insight Dialogue. Drawing on our and other experienced coaches’ experiences, we will illustrate the benefits of engaging in RM practice and we will situate RM in the wider field of theory and practice, including neuroscience, and a host of other coaching models.

Most importantly, we will support you to engage in individual practice and mindful dialogue to build your own RM, with the aim of enhancing your awareness and relational qualities, and supporting insight and understanding of the habits and patterns that help and hinder your coaching (and other) relationships.
