🍂 A Season of Harvest & Connection: Your Autumn Update from the HKICC Board
Dear HKICC Members,
As the vibrant energy of summer gives way to the gentle transition of autumn, we find ourselves in a season of reflection, gratitude, and harvest. This is the perfect time to celebrate the fruits of our collective efforts and look ahead with renewed purpose. The past quarter has been a testament to the strength and dynamism of our community, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights with you.
A Resounding Success at Our Annual General Meeting
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual General Meeting on September 24th. Your presence and engagement are the bedrock of our community. We are delighted to report that HKICC is in a position of great strength, having achieved a significant financial turnaround and ending the year with a healthy surplus. This solid foundation empowers us to invest further in high-quality programs and initiatives for you, our members.
We are also thrilled to announce that Vipul Malhotra and Leona Wan were re-elected as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. We congratulate them on their re-appointment. We also would like to thank all who serve in our Leadership Team. Their leadership and dedication are invaluable to our community.
Members at the Heart of Our Mission
Our mission to advance the “coaching mindset” came alive this quarter through our shared learning experiences. The Coaching Beyond the GROW Model series has been a phenomenal success. The final two sessions in August and September, an inspiring two-part “adventure” into The Hero’s Journey: Coaching beyond The Conscious and The House of Self led by Henry Chamberlain, were both oversubscribed! The enthusiasm and deep engagement from all participants reaffirm our commitment to providing advanced, thought-provoking content that enriches your practice.
Our impact continues to ripple outwards through multiple channels. Our Education Special Interest Group led by Rainbow Chow has achieved remarkable milestones this quarter. All coaching sessions for the six Maryknoll Convent School faculty heads were successfully completed in August, followed by a valuable debrief session with the six coaches to share insights and challenges. In September, we conducted a “tasting” session for ESF schools’ parent representatives to gauge interest in our Parent Coaching Workshop. The response has been encouraging, with Quarry Bay School and West Island School expressing strong interest, and we are now planning to run workshops for these schools in late October.
The return of our Pro Bono Coaching Program with Habitat for Humanity HK and upcoming partnership with Save the Children HK and Teach for Hong Kong further demonstrate our community’s dedication to giving back and fostering positive change across diverse sectors of Hong Kong society.
Looking Forward: Planting Seeds for the Future
As we continue to grow, we are excited about the upcoming launch of our new Special Interest Group, “Leader as Coach,” and community project with NAAC. These initiatives represent our ongoing commitment to expanding the reach and application of coaching in new and meaningful ways.
This journey is one we walk together. Your ideas, passion, and participation are what shape the future of HKICC. Let’s continue to connect, learn, and co-create a vibrant coaching ecosystem in Hong Kong.
