President’s Message
Dear members and friends,
The Chinese New Year is upon us and in fact the new year has already started on the third of February this year according to the Chinese Lunar calendar. As per tradition we engage in spring clean to welcome the new year and this would mean not just cleaning and clearing physically but also mentally and electronically. For the wellbeing of yourself, your family and your coaching counterparts and stakeholders, what cleaning and clearing can you do so you can be at your best in the Year of the Ox?
Rather than a mystical animal, the cow is very much a domestic animal which convey strong, hardworking, humble and loyal characteristics. After a year of disruption, we look forward to rebuilding although it may not be fast or immediate. Can we learn from the trusty cow to help us make this the best year of our lives? Which of these characteristics could you embrace to start the new year with?
As highlighted in my last message in December, HKICC has embraced a new mission and in striving to build “A Coaching Community to Inspire and Nurture People to be Their Best”. We envision HKICC as a warm and welcoming community where tribal elders are passionate in passing down wisdom and know-how and providing guidance to the more junior members of the community, who will in turn help build and contribute back to the profession by engaging in their own adventures in bringing coaching to more corners of our society. To this end we would like to ask for your help.
HKICC is currently conducting a survey to better understand how we are doing and what you would like to see more from us. Please help us build a better community for you by spending 5-10 mins to complete this survey before Chinese New Year: Click here for Member Survey
And in supporting and working with the community, and learning more about the wisdom dwelling in our community, we would also like to ask you to complete another survey about your coaching practice and what it takes to be a professional coach that is run by the Good Coach, who we partnered with in the Coaching Forum in 2019. The survey will take about 20-30 mins and closes at the end of February: Click here Goodcoach Survey
