Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

Are you ready to be a DEI coach?

Aug 18, 2023 Fri 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Online Zoom Conference

The World Economic Forum describes DEI as a competitive advantage, and evidence suggests that organizations with strong equity and inclusion programmes are more resilient and adaptable in times of crises.

Nevertheless, DEI remains a work-in-progress and a key area for improvement at many organisations – typically left in the hands of internal experts, OD and organisational consultants.

How is this relevant to coaches and is there more we can do as coaches and mentors? And if so, what is the work we need do on ourselves and with our peers so we are fully ready?

In this session we will explore the implications for working in the DEI field as a coach and mentor. We will discuss:

  • What are the unique challenges for DEI in an Asia Pacific context?
  • What is the inner work required to be fully ready to coach around DEI ?
  • What aspects of DEI generate either tension or uncertainty for you, and how you conduct your work? What can you do about this?
  • What is the work we can do collectively as peers, to deliver a sustainable shift in DEI across the region?
