HKICC x TID SUCCESS SME Seminars
Background:
- Since 2017, HKICC has been partnering with the Trade & Industry Department of the HKSAR Government to deliver coaching-related seminars/webinars in Cantonese for their SUCCESS (Support & Consultation Centre for SMEs) programme
- SUCCESS provides free membership service to support the business and management development of HK SMEs with 40,000 members.
- This provides a unique chance for HKICC member to connect with SMEs with possible future collaboration opportunity apart from serving the community.

On 26/9/2023, one of our members, Mr. Robin Wong will lead an in-person Cantonese session “How to Turn Business Ideas into Business Opportunities”. Robin is an Executive Coach and Mentor; Business Advisor and Senior Executive in many multinational companies.Robin has a substantive track record in corporate management (including the Head of Operations (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines) of American Express and the CEO of Lark International Holding) and consulting over a span of 30 years. During his tenure, he has transformed many corporations both in the commercial and public sectors. His passion towards leadership development and personal growth led him to become an executive coach focusing in maximizing people potential.
He was an active innovator in talent development as Centre Director for The Management Development Centre of Hong Kong. He introduced state of the art leadership development programs including executive coaching to the business community. The Centre won prestigious awards in management development.
Transforming an idea into business is never an easy task. In this seminar, an experienced business advisor will explain how to minimise the risk of failure, covering topics on validating the feasibility of ideas, developing ideas into business concepts, and executing solid business plans. This seminar will also include interactive sharing and discussion sessions, with a view to assisting start-ups and SMEs in unleashing the potential of creative ideas and setting up businesses.
