Elaine Luey
It is with sadness and gratitude we mourn the passing of one of our most active members and kindest soul Elaine Luey. Elaine volunteered in multiple roles for HKICC between August 2019 and June 2022. She was an advisor to the President during our important period of strategic review, then took up the role of project co-ordinator of Level Up – a programme designed to support new coaches to establish themselves. More recently, she was the co-ordinator of our partnership with the HKSAR Trade and Industry Department SUCCESS unit that support small and medium businesses to success. In all these roles she provided much needed support and many great ideas to make these projects a success.
As for many of us, Elaine will be missed as a friend, a colleague and most of all, as a person with such big heart and can-do attitude that is rare in our world. It’s not too much to say it was a privilege to have worked and played and laughed with her. May she now be in peace and free of pain, and may all us whom she had touched continue to be encouraged by her smile and positive energy. RIP.
